Watch this video tutorial on how to accept credit cards on your food ordering website using PayPal.
Follow these steps to create a PayPal API username, password, and signature to add them to the PAYMENT PROCESSORS section of your food-ordering website settings:
Step 1.Log into your PayPal business account.
1. Click on your avatar and select the Account Settings option.
2. Look for the API Access section and click on the Update button.
3. Scroll down to the NVP/SOAP Credentials and click on the Manage API Credentials button.
4. Make sure that the “Request an API signature” is selected and click on the “Agree and Submit” button.
Step 2. Now, log into your Delivety Admin Panel https://delivety.com/login
1. Scroll down to the WEBSITE MANAGEMENT section.
2. Then, click on the Payment Methods settings.
3. Now, go back to the PayPal page and copy the API username. Then paste it in the API username field of the PayPal section of the Delivety Payment Methods page.
4. Do the same with the API password and with the Signature.
5. As an additional but very necessary step, we recommend enabling Guest Checkout to allow your website visitors paying with their cards if they don't have a PayPal account. By enabling Guest Checkout within your PayPal account settings, buyers will have the option to check out using a debit or credit card, without the need for a PayPal account login. Here’s how to enable the PayPal account optional setting:
5.1. Hover over your name in the top right corner.
5.2. Click Account Settings in the drop-down menu.
5.3. Click Website payments under 'Products & Services' on the left of the page.
5.4. Click Update beside 'Website preferences'.
5.5. Select On under 'PayPal account optional'.
6. Disable Sandbox Mode if you are not using the Sandbox credentials and click on the VERIFY AND ENABLE button.
7. Make sure that the PayPal Payment Processor option is checked and enable “Card” as a payment method. Once done, click on the Save Changes button.
8. We will validate your credentials and enable the PayPal method of payment on your food-ordering website immediately. Now, you can create a test order on your food-ordering website to check how the payment processing works.
