With Delivety, you can create a great-looking food-ordering website very quickly without knowing how to code. You don't have to pay for hosting the website as it will be hosted on Delivety's platform for free. When people place orders on your website, they will automatically show up in your Delivety Dashboards without any additional setup.
Even though the website is hosted on Delivety's platform, you can still use your current domain name. For example, if you already have a website called your-food-delivery.com but you want to switch to Delivety's platform for your food ordering website, you can use the same domain name and direct your customers to your new website on Delivety's platform. Your customers will be able to access your new website on Delivety's platform by using the same domain name they already know. This way, your customers will find your company easily, as they are familiar with your existing domain name.
STEP 1. MAKE SURE YOUR MENU IS UP TO DATE
To log in to the Delivety App, use the following URL: your-domain.delivety.com/app (replace "your-domain" with your Delivety domain name). Once you're there, choose the user who has been given access to the Menu Builder Dashboard and log in.
Once you're in, check that all of the dishes have the correct photos, names, and prices. You should also ensure that the section names are accurate and that the appropriate photo is selected, as these will be displayed on your website. Finally, arrange the order of the sections and dishes in the way that you want them to appear on your website.
STEP 2. CHANGE YOUR DOMAIN SETTINGS IN THE DELIVETY ADMIN PANEL
To set up your domain name on the Delivety food ordering website, first, go to the Admin Panel. Then, select "Domains" from the menu on the left side of the page. From there, choose the domain you want to use for your Delivety website. Change the order receiving method to "Create an integrated food ordering website on the Delivety platform with your existing domain name."
Next, check that the domain name is correct, such as "your-food-delivery.com". Finally, click on "Save Settings" to complete the process.
STEP 3. EDIT YOUR DOMAIN NS RECORDS
To direct visitors from your old website to your new Delivety food ordering website, you need to make changes to your domain registrar settings. This means accessing the settings on the website where you originally registered your domain name (such as GoDaddy, NameCheap, Tucows, Enom, or Google Domains). Once you're in the settings, you need to change the NS records to aragorn.ns.cloudflare.com and nelci.ns.cloudflare.com.
Make sure to delete any other NS records that might be there, and then save the changes. It usually takes about 30 minutes for the NS records to propagate. After that time, when you visit your website (such as your-food-delivery.com), your new Delivety food ordering site should open automatically with all the dishes you have published in Menu Builder in place. You can check this by visiting your website 30 minutes after changing the NS records.
STEP 4. EDIT YOUR WEBSITE SETTINGS
To customize the look and feel of your food ordering website, you need to log in to your Admin Panel and click on Properties in the Website Management panel on the left-hand side. From there, you can edit settings such as the logo, title, description, colors, typography, contacts, delivery hours, and minimum order information. However, you can also do this later if you prefer.
Once you have completed these steps, your food ordering website will be ready to accept orders, which will be automatically sent to the Delivety system. This means that once customers place their orders on your website, they will appear immediately in the Operator Dashboard.
