To start taking orders, you first need to create your menu using the Menu Builder. Once you've added your dishes, you can log into the Delivety App using the URL "your-domain.delivety.com/app" (replace "your-domain" with your Delivety domain name) and access the Operator Dashboard. Only users who have been assigned the Operator Dashboard can accept orders.
STEP 1. OPERATOR DASHBOARD OVERVIEW
If you're not already on the Operator Dashboard, you can switch to it by clicking on it in the right pane. Once you're on the Operator Dashboard, you'll be able to view orders that are arranged by their level of urgency, with the most urgent ones appearing at the top of the screen and the less urgent ones below them. When orders have been delivered, they will move to the bottom of the screen.
STEP 2. ADD COURIERS.
To add a courier, click on the Orders drop-down menu and select the "Couriers" option. You will need to add at least one courier.
To add a courier, click on the plus icon. If necessary, you can also enter the courier's phone number so that you can call them directly from the Operator Dashboard.
Also, there is the default Pick-up option for the orders that have to be picked up by customers from the location (the kitchen that the order is assigned to).
STEP 3. CREATE A NEW ORDER MANUALLY
To create a new order, return to the Operator Dashboard and locate the "Create Order" button in the toolbar at the top center of the screen.
Click on it to open the New Order interface where you can begin entering the order information.
STEP 4. ADD CUSTOMER DATA
Enter the customer's phone number, name, and email in the appropriate fields. If the same customer orders again in the future, their information will be automatically filled in based on their phone number. It's optional to fill in all other information besides the phone number.
Click on the OK button to save the customer data.
STEP 5. SET DELIVERY TIME AND DATE
Enter the desired delivery time for the order. The date will be set to today's date by default, but you can modify it if needed.
STEP 6. ASSIGN A COURIER
Select a courier who will be responsible for delivering the order. If you need to add more couriers, refer to Step 1. It is also possible to assign a courier at a later time if needed.
STEP 7. ASSIGN A LOCATION
Specify the location of the kitchen where the order will be dispatched from. If you only have one location, you can skip this step
STEP 8. ADD DISHES TO THE ORDER
To add an item to the order, click on the "Add+" button located under "Ordered Items." Then, select the desired dishes and adjust their quantity using the plus and minus buttons.
If you have more than one domain, you can switch between menus by clicking on the appropriate logo icons. This allows you to access dishes from different domains as needed.
STEP 9. SET METHOD OF PAYMENT, ADD DISCOUNT, AND SET “CHANGE FOR” VALUE
You can choose between cash and card payment methods, or select the "Card on Delivery" option if the customer plans to pay with a card upon delivery. You can also add a discount to the order if applicable, and specify the amount of change the courier should bring if the customer pays with cash.
STEP 10. WAIT FOR THE KITCHEN TO PROVIDE A TIME ESTIMATE (PLANNED TIME) FOR THE ORDER
The order will be visible in both the Kitchen Dashboards for the appropriate cooks and the Assembly Dashboard. This allows the kitchen staff to estimate the time required to prepare the order. Based on this estimation, the Assembly Dashboard user will enter the Planned dispatch time for the order...
...which is then displayed in the Operator Dashboard as the Planned dispatch time.
STEP 11. CONFIRM THE ORDER WITH THE CUSTOMER
After receiving the "Planned dispatch time" from the kitchen, the operator can provide an estimated delivery time to the customer based on the current workload of the couriers. If necessary, the operator can call the customer to confirm the order and enter the "Confirmed dispatch time" and correct the Delivery time. These actions change the order status to "Confirmed." The kitchen staff will see that the order has been confirmed in their Dashboards and will begin preparing it accordingly.
